Nettle Fibre Yarn

Nettle Fibre Yarn is part of our range of yarns made from special plant-based materials, on cones for machine knitting.

Ramie is an East Asian plant in the nettle family, which has been used as a fibre crop for at least 6000 years!

Our Nettle yarn is made from 100% ramie fibre. It has an irregular slubby texture, it is slightly fluffy, and gets softer and fluffier the more you wash it.

It is in an undyed ecru colour and takes dye well. Try dyeing it yourself with dyes suitable for plant-based fibres like cotton and viscose.
