A dyed nylon monofilament yarn, on cones for machine knitting.
A specialist yarn from Italy that's almost completely transparent. Once knitted it gives a haze of colour. This can be a tricky yarn for beginners to use because it's so hard to see, but it can create some magical effects with invisibility and subtle colour.
The colours look strong on the cone but as a thin and translucent yarn, the colours appear more etherial when knitted. Being a monofilament yarn, it is a continuous filament, so lends itself to springy structures and 3D techniques on the industrial knitting machines.
