Denim Yarn

A rough-spun textured cotton yarn dyed with natural indigo dye, on cones for machine knitting.

The perfect yarn for creating distressed and stonewashed effects, or any of the techniques used used on jeans, because unlike our standard dyed cotton, the indigo dye sits on the surface of the yarn so will fade with abrasion.

This yarn works particularly well when used for 3D knit structures such as ribbing, cabling, tuck stitch and anything with layers of structure, as the top surfaces will fade with abrasion and with the lower recesses retain their original colour.

Not as soft as our standard cotton as this is a hardier fibre.
