Whether you're an absolute beginner or looking to refresh your skills, the Beginners Class will give you a firm grounding in the basics of machine knitting. No previous knowledge of knitwear or knitting machines is required.
You'll learn how knitting machines work and what they can do, with plenty of time to practice and experiment, creating a range of samples to learn from.
You will learn:
Casting on
Stripes
Increasing & Decreasing (changing the width of the knitted fabric)
Lace Holes
Ladders
We use Brother knitting machines on the course. All equipment and yarns will be provided, along with technical notes to take home, with instructions for everything we've covered in the class.
