The Intermediate classes build on the knowledge learnt at the beginners class, and are designed for you to learn a number of more intermediate level knitting techniques, with plenty of time to practice and experiment.
For the Intermediate classes, learners need to have attended the Beginners class, or already have sufficient knowledge in using the knitting machine.
In the Jacquard (Patterns) Class we learn:
How the Jacquard technique works on a knitting machine
Punchcard patterns
Distorting and creating irregular designs
Vertical stripes and check patterns
Freehand letters and works (not using punchcards)
Using fun yarns (textures, stretch and shiny)
You will take away a range of samples you have made to practice and learn from.
We use Brother knitting machines on the course. All equipment and yarns will be provided, along with technical notes to take home, with instructions for everything we've covered in the class.
