These classes are designed for you to learn a number of more intermediate level knitting techniques with plenty of time to practise and experiment. The intermediate class builds upon the base knowledge learnt in the beginners class.

The different intermediate level classes are:

  • FAIR ISLE/JACQUARD (colourful patterns) – using punchcards
  • TUCK & SLIP STITCH (3D knit structures) – using punchcards
  • WOVEN KNITS (Weaving in and E-wrapping) – using punchcards

Within each individual class you will create a range of samples to take away with you and learn from.

For the Intermediate classes, learners need to have attended the Beginners class or have sufficient knowledge in using the knitting machine, its operations and want to learn more.

The machines used for the classes will be Brother knitting machines. All equipment and yarns will be provided, along with technical notes with instructions to go with your class.

See class dates for the next timetabled workshops.
