INTERMEDIATE

THESE CLASSES ARE DESIGNED FOR YOU TO LEARN A NUMBER OF MORE INTERMEDIATE LEVEL KNITTING TECHNIQUES WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO PRACTISE AND EXPERIMENT. THE INTERMEDIATE CLASS BUILDS UPON THE BASE KNOWLEDGE LEARNT IN THE BEGINNERS CLASS.

THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASSES:

    FREEHAND LETTERS AND WORDS (NOT USING PUNCHCARD)
  • TUCKS, CABLES, HOOKING UP & POPCORN (3D KNIT STRUCTURES)
    THE BASICS OF CREATING TUCK PATTERNS
    EXPERIMENTAL TUCK PATTERNS BY STRIPING AND DISTORTING
    CABLING AND RIBBING (SINGLE BED)
    HEMS AND HOOKING UP WITHIN THE KNIT FABRIC
    HONEY COMB STRUCTURE
    POPCORN AND LOOP STITCH
  • WOVEN KNITS (WEAVING AND E-WRAPPING)
    THE BASICS OF CREATING WEAVE PATTERNS

    ARGYLE/DIAMOND PATTERNS

WITHIN EACH INDIVIDUAL CLASS YOU WILL CREATE A RANGE OF SAMPLES TO TAKE AWAY WITH YOU AND LEARN FROM.

FOR THE INTERMEDIATE CLASSES, LEARNERS NEED TO HAVE ATTENDED THE BEGINNERS CLASS OR HAVE SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE IN USING THE KNITTING MACHINE, ITS OPERATIONS AND WANT TO LEARN MORE.

THE MACHINES USED FOR THE CLASSES WILL BE BROTHER KNITTING MACHINES. ALL EQUIPMENT AND YARNS WILL BE PROVIDED, ALONG WITH TECHNICAL NOTES WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO GO WITH YOUR CLASS.
