Garment making

This Class is designed for you to learn a number of machine knitting techniques and processes used in making garments.

You will learn: drafting a paper pattern – tension swatches – necklines – edges and cuffs – pockets – linking and sewing.

You will create a range of samples and a constructed garment (fully or partially completed) to take away with you, making you fully equipped to complete your own knitted garments.

For the Garment making class, learners need to have attended the Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Accessory making classes or have sufficient knowledge in using the knitting machine, its operations and want to learn more.

The machines used on the course will be Brother knitting machines. All equipment and yarns will be provided.

The Garment making class last 4 days and is often held in the summer months.
